Who are we?

Theta Alpha Psi is the University of Michigan's Alpha chapter of the Theta Alpha Psi professional fraternity, founded in February of 2021.

Theta Alpha Psi's mission is to educate and connect University of Michigan undergraduates passionate about social and environmental sustainability through engaging in education, professional development, social bonding, and activism.

With an emphasis on three clusters, Business, Environment, and Technology, Theta Alpha Psi aims to create an interdisciplinary education and outreach environment to showcase the natural overlap between these clusters and sustainability.

We follow SSC’s (Student Sustainability Coalition) definition of sustainability:

"Sustainability is a mindset and approach to ensure current and future resources and prosperity are equitable and accessible for all: without the exploitation of people and the environment in the process.

It is crucial to consider not only environmental but also social and economic factors all together as a holistic system, rather than individual components."
